It was a mystery why Warnock wanted Dyer at QPR and an even bigger mystery why Mark Hughes offered the brittle boned malingerer an extension to his contract, but with Kieron now clubless and available on a free, don't be surprised to see Warnock make a move.
Let's face it, Dyer fits the Warnock bill perfectly doesn't he? He is an old chum - and Warnock claimed he was worth his wages because of what he brought to the dressing room and training field even though he only managed 5 minutes game time in his first season at Loftus Road - and at 34, he is just about the optimum age for a midfielder as far as Old Big Gob is concerned!
And most importantly, of course, he is cheap. Possibly a pay when he plays contract? Even on his West Ham wages, that shouldn't cost Leeds much more than a tenner!
Hang on? A tenner? Warnock is organising a whip round as we speak!
