Watford Closing In On Birmigham's Redmond?

If true, that would be one hell of a statement by the Pozzo family and one hell of a poke in the eye for Birmingham fans. The mooted price, a mere £2m, seems ridiculous for a player linked with Premiership clubs over the summer and carrying, at that point, a tag of £6m.

We know times are desperate at Birmingham but surely not THAT desperate? At this rate, poor Lee Clark will be lucky if he can name a team after the January window closes.

What the hell is going on in England's second city? Villa are sinking faster than a flushed turd, Birmingham aren't far off shutting up shop for good, and Wolves are looking more like Chihuahuas.

They used to build cars in the Midlands; soon we will be saying they used to play football!

  1. We do still build cars dipstick.
Never heard of Land Rover? Making Billions for the country.
We wouldn't be in the mess we are if we had more manufacturing.
But poxy consecutive government over the last 25 years put all the eggs in the City of London basket and now we are all suffering for it, unless you work in that place and have all the state subsides.
Funny how Germany & USA all have major manufacturing, but our thick graduate led society thinks it should all be pen pushing!

  2. It's a shame for Birmingham City, the club are in a total mess due to the poor running of the club by their foreign owners!!.The way that they have been run is laughable....much akin to Pompey.

However, with out wanting to kick a team whilst its down,I think we should have a look at taking Redmond off them at a knock down price?. He's a real talent from what I have seen.

  3. Well, the fact is that with 24 hours to go we haven't lost anyone to anyone. I am beginning to think this just a media hype. Lee Clark has the biggest squad we have had for the past seven years and even i we lose a couple there is plenty of cover throughout the pitch.

  4. Nathan Redmond is a brummie and a Blues supporter, Lee Clark and his entourage are incapable of understanding what that means to Blues fans. Get rid of them first.

  5. Local media in Birmingham reporting that there is no interest from Watford for Redmond. And I don't think we would accept £2Mil anyway.

  6. At least Birmingham will be on the high speed rail link unlike watford that is a run down second rate commuter town with appalling features Amd shopping centre full Of down and outs - Zola will be gone as soon as a better offer comes in and you will be back in the second division where you belong And we look forward to Ellton crying again

    1. Only reason Birmingham is on the high speed rail link is so the decent folk can escape to London quickly.

    1. Poor old Brummues, really not the brighest..........

This 'blog' is written by a somewhat unhinged West Ham fan with a death wish against Zola and Watford, not a Watford fan you plum.

  9. Redmond has been a good prospect for far too long and never delivered enough consistency. He will never be as good as ince from blackpool so if we can cash in on him then i don't think he will be missed judging by his eratic performances.Besides our muppet needs the cash to fund his pocket expense.....
