Becchio To Swap Leeds For Hull?

Well how galling would that be? Old Big Gob has admitted that he is not in control of Becchio's future. A discussion is planned with his agent, "over the next 10 days" but according to Warnock, with delicious irony, "you can only say so much". Warnock short of words? There's a first!

Now if Becchio were being linked with Liverpool or Manchester United or West Ham, fair enough, but the clubs chasing the Argentine are minnows, Wigan and Hull.

What a ridiculous state of affairs if Becchio is allowed to leave for either of his present suitors. His 19 goals have kept Leeds clinging to the coat tails of the play off pack, and the new owners should be moving heaven and earth to keep him at the club. But it seems that it's not only Leicester City that they can't compete with financially, it's teeny weeny Wigan and even smaller Hull. And Leeds fans still maintain they support a big club!

What for fcuk's sake is going on? There will be calls for the Board to resign before the honeymoon period has finished if Becchio leaves! Marching on Together? It's Wimping On Together with this bunch in charge of the club! At least Master Bates had the balls to be honest with the fans!

  1. Why don't you just go do one and worry about your own club and it's INABILITY to beat Manurenited?

Even Leeds beat them, and we were two divisions below them at the time......

  2. Ah Saturday's here everyone. We always know that when Hammersfan pumps out the drivel. You see folks, Hammers fan supports The Sad Hammers. Now the Sad's have one ambition only..avoid the drop. This makes Saturdays a day to forget for this blogger so whats the best thing he can do to take his mind off the Sad's ? Write some more bollocks about Leeds of course.

Meanwhile Hammersfan has has 12 days left before his bookies ticket on Warnock out by the end of the month expires. Lets have some suggestions everyone on what he should have spent his money on.

I'll vote for a wank mag published by his Club owners. That might chanel some money into the Sad Hammers coffers so they could get closer to affording a class striker like Becchio.

    Any more suggestions folks?...

    1. How about I buy Becchio myself? I think I've got more money than your new owners!

    2. Even if you had any money and I doubt it you would only want to dress him up in a gimp mask and bum him

    3. Well there's a thought. He could teach you Argentinian. That could be useful when they throw you out of Romania for exposing yourself in the Park. You'll need a new country to run off to...again!

    4. Allways when im starting to read about Leeds on the net I always let your blog be the latest I read bev\cause Im really enjoying this one. Its true but sad that Leeds isnt in posision to compete with those big clubs Hull and Wigan, or Leicester for that sake. If the new board hasnt got the money why in earth they buy Leeds. Are Bates and the new owners doing something mysteriuos here. Wasnt it a american who also wantd to buy Leeds and put 10 mill pound to purchase new players in January. Sorry for my english but Im not so good in english. And if Leeds lost Becchio on this transfer window and not replace him with and equal good player or better, well then I have to say that it will take leat a couple of years to get promoted, because the new ownres will ( with Bates in the background) be in charge for couple of years to suck all the economics out of the club.

Keep on going to wrote this blog you Hammersfan, I love this blog...

Administration by end of the season, League 1 end of next season.

    £19m in Debt!!!!
In 5 years, since administration, we've LOST £19m.
5 years of good attendance, selling everyone but the groundsman, and spending next to nothing.

  7. I agree partially with this blog as a LUFC follower but to say Leeds aren't a big club is absurd. I realise that Leeds United are in the Championship for a reason and that crowds have dwindled but let us not forget when we WERE a Premiership club our attendances were 35k+.

I know the attendances have dropped dramatically but I'm sure you will agree fans and supporters are fickle and you as an individual you are no exception to this rule. It would be a loss if Becchio does depart and honestly 10yrs ago I would never have thought our team would be cherry picked by teams such as Norwich and potentially Wigan and Hull.

Times change and with that so has football. The fact is HF/Liam we are a big club whom are not achieving their full potential and will not until we return to the Premiership whenever that will be. I think the title of your picture epitomises what Leeds are in the Championship.........a big fish in a small pond.

In your blog you mention Manchester United and Liverpool, two massive clubs and neither West Ham or Leeds will EVER be able to match them in terms of support and prestige in our lifetimes.

I think if you were to ask the vast majority of fans/supporters from Premiership clubs if they would like to see Leeds back in the big time the majority would want just that.

I say this because I know many Manchester United, Everton, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal followers who all would like to see us return to the big time. I have also read many articles on Sky Sports where the same consensus and conclusion can be drawn.

I'm not sure if the prospect of that galls you or whether you have a secret affection for Leeds, whichever it is though M.O.T.

  10. Hull aren't even linked with Becchio, Bruce laughed those rumours off about 3 weeks ago. Wigan are a Premier League club and would be a decent destination for Becchio, so don't call anyone minnows, considering that Hull were so good against Leeds are in a promotion race and spent 3.5 million on two players recently, that is a lot more than Leeds will spend.

  12. Morning hf, beccs is having a fairly decent season for a change but if he wants a move to Wigan or Hull hes closer to the club than any of us are, so youd think he might no more about whats really going on. So good luck to him. Lets face it if we did manage a push and make the playoffsand actually win it. Unless we had a major spring clean and seriously invest in a team we wouldnt be in the prem long !!
