Lightweight Gulf Finance House Seeking Early Exit From Leeds?

What a mess. New manager, new transfer window, new hope, new opportunities, new season ahead - and same old mess at Leeds United.

The club desperately needs three things: money, new players and stability. What are Gulf Finance House / Gulf Finance Capital offering? Very little money so far, no pledge on signing new players and an atmosphere of uncertainty, bordering on chaos.

Poor Nice Guy Brian, no wonder he needs a holiday. He's given the Board his wish list and now he needs a break. He's only been in charge for a month but he's off, turning his back on the cloud that hangs over Elland Road.

The cloud? What cloud? Leeds fans will demand in Sunny Jim Callaghan fashion. Well perhaps it's not a cloud, perhaps it's a sand storm. The Arab Bank Built On Sand made a profit last year. A profit of one million! That means buying one leg of Adam Le Fondre would take the entire company into loss! What a farce!

Now the parent company has confirmed that it is seeking "an early exit" from its strategic investments. Is it any wonder? Leeds have been bought as a trading chip and the trouble is GFH were duped into buying a club that nobody else is interested in.

Leeds fans hoping for a flood of new players had better readjust expectations quickly. There may be a few free transfers and a few loan deals but there won't be a lot more. And meanwhile, Sam Byram will be burning a hole in the Arab bank's thawb. £8m is eight times the entire company's profit last year!

    3. Pot calling the kettle black, your obsession with Leeds is extremely boring and I really wish you'd fuck off and move on ... Write about some other club, try your own for instance !!

    4. HF, if you posted on your homemade blog about quantum physics or calculus we might be a tiny bit impressed. But to big yourself up by using full stops and capitals when most of your responders can't be bothered to use because they either

      1. Have more important things to do or

      2. Like to watch you get excited by the correct use of the word your because they think it's funny

Makes you look a by bit of a sad and lonely type. Your desperate attempts to deny this look, to a normal person, a bit made up!

  2. I have to agree with your sentiments, the future does not look good at all for us Leeds fans. These people have no interest in making the club successful. Got to wonder why Preston Haskell, a man with alot of money and ambition for Leeds, was not allowed to buy the club.

    1. what a bizarre comment, I don't know what it has to do with what I said. Haskell couldn't buy the club because Bates agreed an exclusivity period with GFH which allowed them to faff around for months emailing people for money! otherwise he would have bought Leeds ages ago and immediately put 10million into the club on transfer fees and Leeds might ahve been looking at the playoffs in the last few weeks, not relegation. There was also Saudi interest who eventually gave up because of GFH scratching their arses for too long in this exclusivity period.

  6. Hammersfan. Just out of interest, I seem to remember at the beginning of last season that you had chosen Leeds as a Championship club to report on for the 2012/13 season. Your blog archive doesn't seem to go back that far for me to be able to check.

If I am right in thinking this, then now that the season is over, you should surely be looking for some other poor sods to spend your time on.

Some of your posts over the season have been quite interesting, but lately they seem ill-informed at best - this one about GFH being a prime example. None of us really know what plans this company have for the immediate future, or how they plan to finance the next season - other investors seems to be the way they are heading - your article may be based on fact, but the majority of it is pure speculation on your part.

The majority of Leeds fans feel that no matter what GFH plan to do, anyone is better than Bates.

Anyway, if you stick to your 'club for a season' idea, then as the season is over, this article may very well be your last on Leeds United. That is, of course, if you stick to your word?

Or maybe focusing on the sleeping giant that is Leeds United has brought you so much more traffic and attention to your site, that you won't be able to let us go? Well you won't be the first to fall in love with Leeds and you won't be the last.

Good luck and parting is such sweet sorrow! (or maybe not!)

    Goodbye.

  7. stating the downright bleeding obvious again HF..! of course GF will "Flip" the club. We all knew that from the start, it's a bloody finance brokerage company, not a Football business! I think your drinking too much Arak over there, and packing counterfeit tobacco! Ozzie Paul MOT

  8. Meanwhile, with the Dildo factory working overtime, West Ham fans hope that their Stella array of footballing talent will be complimented by additional recruits in the summer.

"Would sir like some more honey spreading on his bread", said HF's imaginary wife while he enjoyed his little fantasy!

    Have a nice day:)

  11. Why don't you report recent or new news instead of rehashing old news? For instance, why is Andy Caroll willing to take a pay cut to re-join the Toon but not to stay at west ham? Funny that isn't it?

I presume big Sam has gone on holiday now, and you are backed by bankers (cockney slang) built on dildos & whips. Why didn't you pick up on the fact that Leeds U18s are champions. No, you don't like good news about Leeds do you?

  18. You don't have a fucking clue do you

They are an investment bank so will sell whenever they can make a profit, strangely enough thst's how ALL Investment Banks operate.

And if it means taking short term hits to do that, by buying players to get to the Premiership for instance, then that's what they will do.

Yet again you're showing your obsession with all things Leeds.

As you claimed to only be following us this season because of Warnock isn't it time you fucked off and bugged someone else (oh sorry you can't can you as that wasn't the reason you keep posting, it's your mental condition that means you are incapable of ignoring any chance to have a dig at us).

  29. You keep talking about Leeds having no money. Well it doesn't matter at all if the owners have money or not. Lets look at some facts.......
How much money did, or still have the Man Utd board have when they bought the club? Oh yes, they borrowed £500,000,000 to buy the club, then dumped the debt on the club.
There is no reason Leeds couldn't rack up a £20,000,000 debt and buy some players to push for promotion like most championship clubs do.
From what you are saying it seems odd to me you have such big debts at West Ham, is it because your owners don't have any money, I can only assume this is the case.
