Is Warnock Proving West Ham Wrong At Leeds?

Warnock Junior was on the point of joining West Ham when Warnock Senior came in for him at the last moment and offered him a longer contract. As a result, the former England left back opted to take his chances in the Championship rather than have a stab at rebuilding a Premiership career.

Well, thus far, the Villa reject is proving West Ham wrong. Pogatetz has been dire since his move from Germany, whilst Leeds have looked pretty watertight since Warnock was drafted into the team; and his penalty winner on Saturday was the icing on the cake.

Of course, things may look differently after the Leicester and Palace games, when both Warnocks will face bigger challenges than against Blackpool, Millwall and injury hit Blackburn but, for the moment at least, Old Big Gob has been vindicated in his pursuit of his namesake, whilst Allardyce may be cursing the money pinching West Ham board.

    1. Greetings from Australia. I dont get your obsession with cynically pusuing anything you can that's negative about Leeds. Truly it's a little psycho. Why dont you stick to your great club when commenting.

    2. G'day Michael. Do you not read about other clubs? Are you really so blinkered that you can't see above and beyond Leeds?

    3. we don't need to keep slanging other clubs off like you continue to do. you are obsessed with Warnock and Leeds. ive been going to Leeds since 1982 and i have never hated west ham, because your club means nothing to me, and we dont need a telling we are shit we already know, but like always we will we back and west ham will still be there and still mediocre ? 6. He wanted to play for a bigger club???..and leeds are where?????...warnock is a decent player..but no more than decent......people slated nolan for doing the same..so yes its about the money...or if west ham offered him a good wage as in nolans case then warnock has no ambition..so maybe its better we didnt get him

    1. Leeds United AFC, a giant chained in the poverty f the Championship; West Ham, a team stuck in the Premiership. All a question of perspective. I know where Leeds would rather be though!

  11. Warnock hasnt faced anyone with genuine pace yet.if we can keep a clean sheet tonite, then maybe the tide has turned for our defence.just need to create more in the final third, and take our chances.

    1. Yep and he will be fit again soon. O'Brien is our best bet at left back even though he is right footed.

    2. Right footed??? - Isnt he a pro that should be able to kick with both feet?

  13. I reckon we need to win 8 or 9 games out of 12 to have any chance.our away form tells me,theres more chance west ham turning out at the olympic stadium, than that happening.

  18. Not sure I understand the question. Given his outstanding performances isn't he proving West Ham right by wanting to sign him? It is unfortunate he didn't want to sign for West Ham and perhaps he is proving himself wrong as he clearly belongs in the premiership. Yes I see the 'provocative' little twist you did there so no need to respond of course. Joking aside you missed out on an absolute gem there for your level in the top flight. Would have been a great signing for you. At least you still have McCartney though (Leeds reject if ever there was one) LOL!!
