Warnock and Warnock Bemused As Leeds Let Down England In Home Internationals

Well what the hell happened there then? Wales' second team, Cardiff City, went to Fortress Elland Road, the home of one of the giants of English football, and came away with a decisive victory, whilst the Principality's first team travelled to little old Upton Park, the home of humble West Ham, and only escaped a four or five goal tonking thanks to a superb display by their German keeper.

Warnock Junior must be shaking his head in disbelief! He had the opportunity to join West Ham but claimed he had opted for Leeds because of the stature of the club. Somebody should have told him that this footballing giant do not even own their own ground or training pitch, that they have been bought by an Arab bank on their uppers, and have been out of the Premiership for a decade now. And with West Ham beating Swansea today, the homely Hammers' chances of Premiership survival have increased hugely whilst the reverse for Leeds against Cardiff has killed off any lingering hopes of automatic promotion and left Warnock's new club back in twelfth place, six points behind a play off place and, effectively, with hopes only of catching sixth place Miserableboro.

All the optimism generated by that win over Spurs and a 'spectacular' January window has suddenly evaporated. Warnock's boast of having won six on the trot at home (and seven when he counts Spurs but forgets Chelsea) has exploded in his face. Poor Warnock Junior, proud possessor of two England caps, was left on the bench and goal machine Morison, taken in exchange for 19 goal Becchio, didn't even make it into the eighteen. Haribo came on but to no effect, whilst Cardiff's January capture, Frazier Campbell, scored the precious, precious winning goal.

Why didn't Old Big Gob and his mighty Leeds United land Campbell themselves? Probably because the guy, like Becchio, wants to earn decent wages, wages that GFH Capital can't afford to pay!

Meanwhile, West Ham, playing against little Swansea City had a gate of 34,962 - a full house despite a dreadful run of results - whilst Leeds United could attract just 19,236 for a game against the league leaders. Big club? Yep, in Stephen Warnock's head!

    1. It was electric over here in Romania thanks. Yes watched every minute, drinking delicious local brew Silva at 50p a pint. Did you go to the Leeds game or were you one of the 19,000 that left the ground half empty for a game against the league leaders? Shameful.

  5. We really dodged a bullet not getting Warnock, like his namesake a waster... Good luck LUFC though always enjoyed my away days at Elland Road.

Could have been 4 or 5 for WHU today... I can rate the players... now I'm home from the game...

  6. Drinking Silva what's that poor mans Stella. And as for you having the best seat in the pub is that because no fuker wants to watch a little club in London? West ham could be in the top league for another century and still wouldn't amass to anything Leeds have done in the past and I'm sure you know this.

  7. do make a proper comparison re: clubs/crowds

List all the crap things that have happened to WH/Leeds in the last ten years

    Then reassess your opinion/article

It must be a nightmare being hammer, one disaster after another
a relegation, must have been made worse by the 32 million parachute payment, oh and tevez affair - what a nightmare....your club was actually GIVEN cash in real terms by allowing you to stay in the prem....friends in high places? friends in southern places?

Leeds on the other hand....no problems at all
Everyone up her is dead positive and are just poor supporters!

  8. 19.37,the reason he has the best seat in the house is he's the only frigger in there. Would you waste a saturday afternoon watching that shite in the company of a tosser like armchair hammer? Imagine what kind of dive it is if the beer's that cheap. It's probably a standing bar but they got him a seat cos he looks pregnant.
