Are Leeds United bullying Ryan Hall?

I expressed my disgust yesterday, when it was suggested that Hall had been suspended for his innocuous comments after being dropped by Sheffield United. That was bad enough.

Now it appears that he may have been suspended for a comment he didn't make himself! Now this is Big Brother gone mad!

According to the Yapping Post, the talented young winger has fallen foul of the Arab sensors because he re-tweeted a comment from a supporter (Carl Smith) who wrote, "“Ryan Hall comes on and sets up a goal from a decent cross. Something we’ve been missing all season so wake up McDermott.”

Bloody hell, so now people are being taken to task based on the opinion of others! Whilst there is criticism of McDermott here, the Twatter is about how good Hall is, so it should come as no surprise that he chose to share it with his followers. Why wouldn't you when a fan sings your praises?

It looks like victimisation to me. McDermott clearly doesn't rate the lad and the suspension is both heavy handed and designed to intimidate the boy, maybe even trying to force him out of the club.

The PFA should get involved immediately and the local MP should be making statements about how UK residents enjoy freedom of speech, unlike the people of Bahrain where GFH Capital are based.

If we can't quote what other people are saying about us, then God help us!

Oh now that statement from you is just asking for trouble. Get ready to quote your little heart out.

  4. Four comments
    1. are you sure of your facts,
    2. Ryan Hall hasn't proved himself at LU to be a decent footballer and one cross doesn't make a player.
    3. LU could be using this opportunity to reduce the wage bill.
    4. your imflamatory comments to wind up LU supporters is a form of bullying
You are a poor excuse for a wind upo merchant

  5. With the amount of stick u get on this site,i think u have a point.like u said, mcdermott dosent rate him,and its a easy way to get rid of him,and frees up wages, for a loan player....what a coincedence, after 2 wk without a loan player in site,it looks like dexter, blackstock could be joining.gfh are clrearly not that stupid after hall....get it hall.

    2. (14.53) Don't you agree with "Freedom of Speech" ??

I am also of the opinion that you over use the phrase; "chew a grenade" it's getting a bit boring now.

    3. Yes I do agree with free speech but there is a time and a place to say things, bringing the game into disrepute by having a dig at the manager isn't the best thing to do, wasn't his tweet but he retweeted it to have a dig at his boss'! And as for the boring phrase, doesn't stop spam dangler regurgitating the same old shite does it, mind u, he's ur lover so that's ok!

  7. It was stupid and he should be fined.end of

  8. Wrong - it's not all about Ryan Hall even if he thinks it is. Brian is working to get the ship on an even keel - not easy with the crew he's got - and the last thing he needs is dissent from someone who shouldn't even be on board. Hall sounds like a stroppy little schoolboy who's an @rsehole in every lesson - and it's always the teacher's fault.

  10. if it was this............and not the tweet that he wrote saying get what you can £££ while you can even if you're not playing, which rightly pissed LU fans off seen as we are paying his wage.........then by retweeting he is suggesting that he agree's Brian McDermott should wake up i.e. slagging his manager off!

HF you're clutching at straws now, dont give it the "I care about footballers" attitude when you clearly dont give a shit about anyone!

  11. Of course I don't give a toss about over paid footballers, but I do give a toss about the basic right to freedom of speech which is being eroded by the day. What happened to the old notion of "Publish and be damned"? We are all entitled to an opinion and providing we do not preach hatred, we are entitled to say what the hell we like.

As for closet racist ripostes, I suggest people check out Bahrain's record on human rights. Personally, I don't believe a Bahrain based company should be allowed to own a football club in England, but there you go.

    2. HF, no such thing as freedom of speech. if I went out and shouted I hated a particular race of people id be in trouble. exactly what he did.

    3. I am a Leeds fan of over 40years and I agree with you. (didn't think I would ever say that to you) This is not about a club, its about how the lad is being treated. Its sh@t no matter what club he is at.

    4. You trust the Leeds United official website? Have you learnt nothing from the last 15 years?

    5. what do you know about the last 15 years youve only followed our team for the past few seasons havent you?

    7. Did the club tell you it was going bust? Did Bates keep you informed about how he was shafting the club? What about the confidentiality agreement that stopped fans knowing the details of the take over? And that's just for starters!

  16. Check out what bullying and victimisation actually is Mr HF. Then stop throwing around silly accusations that give people who really do suffer such treatment a more difficult time proving it because such terms are bandied about by people like you who know little or nothing about it! You dont knowvthe facts so uou dont know anything as yet.

    ReplyDelete
  17. you probably do have a big nose, with all the bullshitting you do! the facts are that you are a west ham supporting football 'blogger' who hasnt attended a match in god knows how long and spends most of his time writing about another team from up north!! very strange behaviour!!

  20. you can leave it all to your kids.........oh sorry........never mind you can potter around your gardens when your older.....you can tell all your various neighbours about all the games you would have gone to if only your relatives had not kept passing away just before you were about to board the plane.

  21. It is amazing how the writer of this blog chooses to have a selective, but yet short memory when it suits him. You make it evidently clear that you have form of obsession with Leeds United and cannot seemingly make up your mind as to whether you love or hate us - which is it? I wonder if you will answer my queries as the author of this blog or whether you will log in under the pseudonym 'Jack' or 'whitearmy'. The fact you do that really is pathetic and you really need to get out enjoy life. Alternatively you could keep fantasizing about many things such as having a female partner, her being a size 8 and attractive. Or you could fantasize some more about being a cultured globe trotter and in the knowledge of owning 5 properties. The reality is that you are one lonely old man and no matter what vitriol you spout as a possible riposte, you know that is the truth which hurts and that is why you are so bitter. When an individual feels the need to sensationalise their material possessions or their status this is a common sign that their life is the exact opposite so you really aren't fooling anyone. Over to you HF or Jack.
