Leeds can take heart after Watford lose and Nottingham Forest draw

Ok, Burnley won making it six out of six, and Leicester won too. And Blackpool's victory wasn't the best result, though it meant Wigan lost. Reading's emphatic win was a nuisance it is true. But there are two automatic promotion places and 4 play off places up for grabs, so Watford's defeat was great news - though it meant Derby won again - and Forest's concession of two home points was just what the doctor ordered too. And QPR failed to win, conceding two goals in the process.

So, although Leeds have slipped down to fifteenth, a victory tomorrow could see them right back in the mix, just 5 points behind sixth placed Reading. In fact, three points could see Leeds climb to the heady heights of eighth. So if Derby can believe, why shouldn't Leeds if sitting just one place and one point below the Wally with the Brolly's Rams?

All that stands is their way is Birmingham City and Birmingham City aren't exactly Manchester City are they? Opportunity knocks for McDermott's team tomorrow, and if they don't open the door, then all hopes of a promotion push will be as good as dead. It's time for Friar Brian's Merry Men to stand tall and deliver!

  1. great! I hadn't a clue what was happening with the club ive followed for 45 years? so, losing to man city today has put us how many points above the drop zone? hang on, are we still in the first division? or do they call it something else now? im a Leeds fan and im confused now? erm.... are we losing to the likes of man city? are we already in a relegation battle? im sorry to ask, but due to the fact that im only a "fickle" leeds fan, I spend most of my time monitoring and watching a tiny little club called west ham for some strange reason?

  3. Aye but can YOU take heart after today's result?
See those pictures on the right? Fat Sam will have worn all of those expressions today, and I dare say he'll wear them plenty more times before May.

  6. Who is writing this? Forest played Bournemouth and they are far from being lowly. Leeds fans should worry about the other side of the division

  7. Here's a comparison of Leeds' season v West Ham's. After a few games Leeds are going average with a chance of promotion if they improve about 25%.
West Ham are going poor, are right around the drop zone and will need to improve around 25% to survive. I'd rather have Leeds season to look forward to. Wow ! Its just hit me like a ton of bricks why you are such a bitter, sarcastic individual !

  10. Its all ifs and buts cockney boy.theres one problem with your theory on us jumping up a few places if we win..we r shit.no players in,and birmingham have a 12 foot centre forward, who saves his entire total for the season,to bag a hatfull against us,but i did dream that we won last night.i think im comming down with a fever..

  11. don't worry spammer, Andy Carrol wil be "fit" soon and the little kiddies will be able to ride him and feed him apples at half time (and if he can't make it there's always Karen Brady who does a mean horse too).

  14. West Ham fans chanting to Ageuro "your just a shit Tevez", right before he opened scoring and nearly got a hatrick. Stadium was empty on 75 minutes... Poor fans, average club.
