Much has been said about how Leeds have cut their own throat in recent years by selling their best players, but when you look at how the "best" have performed since shipping out of Elland Road, it's no wonder the "rest" have struggled.
Where are Norwich, who use the once great Leeds as a feeder club, in the Premiership table? Seventh from bottom and just four points above the bottom three. Snodgrass has looked half decent but nothing more and Becchio is getting splinters in his arse from sitting on the bench.
Delph cost Villa two crucial points with an own goal against Fulham and has an appalling disciplinary record. He was supposed to be a star; but he's at very best ordinary, and Villa, of course are only just above the bottom three.
Have I forgotten anybody? Beckford? He's on loan at Huddersfield and isn't pulling up any trees.
You could bring home the lot of them and Leeds would still be ordinary.
Someone's on a wind up...
ReplyDeleteBeckford came on today from the bench and scored a brace....
ReplyDeleteknob head whats jermaine done today, wish he was still in a leeds shirt, bet he does as well
ReplyDeletejermaine pulled up two trees today for the dogs wish he was still in a leeds shirt and snoddy as for the rest who cares
ReplyDeletebeckford isn't pulling up any trees !!! he scored a brace today ya prick ,,, those two goals will probably keep town up and put wolves down ,,, you really are a poor excuse for a football blogger
ReplyDeleteTotally agree, they are no big deal.As a leeds fan I wasn´t too upset when they left, apart from Snake in the grass, but who wants a player that doesn´t want to play for you.The grass isn´t always greener on the other side.Hope we play them in the Championship next year.
ReplyDeleteNo defenders on your list and that's why Leeds are ordinary. 5s, 6s and a 7 conceded at ER tells the tale. If the defence is a sieve it doesn't matter who's in midfield or up front - or if the manager is changed. That's what cost them - two years running - and will again if not rectified.
ReplyDeleteEr....we won a football match. Anything on that?!
ReplyDeleteDid you just... draw 1-1 against Southampton? Did we beat them 3-0? Amazing what a bunch of 'ordinary' players can do. Name me one player spammers have got who is better than ordinary? And don't even say Carroll hahahaha what a joke!
ReplyDeleteSo with all this in mind perhaps you should apologise for accusing Leeds of selling the family Jewels, as you have done many times and now praise them for some astute sales.
ReplyDeleteJust a note.Emigres, These pricks weren´t forced to leave, they got greedy and big headed.
ReplyDeleteemigres doesnt make sense pal
ReplyDeleteour best players were great for us but crap for other teams. with the exception of beckford who went for free, i'd say it was good business selling them lol
ReplyDeleteIt's actually unreal how much time and effort you put into knowing things about Leeds. It really is. It's becoming an obsession I think. Ask yourself why. Do you like the reaction from fans? Or are you just lonely? I think it's time to take your meds
ReplyDeleteI wonder how the England Internationals Milner and Lennon are doing?
ReplyDeleteWho appointed you an historian of Leeds United or its ex players? Who the do you think you really are? You are a nobody with a blog that is designed to incite other clubs fans, with headings and shit posts linked to said clubs! Move on WANKER, you have out lived you welcome!!! MOT MOT MOT
ReplyDeleteI do see your point Hammersfan, but its how those players gel as a team that really matters. If all those players had stayed at Leeds we would not be in the state we're in. Hopefully now we have Brian McD at the helm that's all going to change and other clubs will have to go on their hands and knees to get our best players.
ReplyDeleteWhat is that!? Presumably the result of too much Romanian wine and lost Leu at the casino.
ReplyDeleteThe point is my friend if we had retained the midfield quartet of Snodgrass, Johnson, Howson & Gradel, kept Beckford/Becchio and maybe added a decent centre half we would now be in the premiership. If this is still 'ordinary' then I couldn't give a toss quite frankly. In fact it's completely irrelevant!
As for Delph point taken. However, dont you think it would have been nice of Bates to maybe use at least a fraction of the £6m transfer fee on the team rather than line his own pockets?
Seriously mate not one of your best but worth a chuckle I suppose.
That goes to prove cockney boy, that its all down hill, when they leave the mighty whites.
ReplyDeleteContrary to a lot of your previous comments it would appear that Leeds are capable of doing a bit of shrewd business from time to time even if the income was thrown away by Bates on his pet projects!
ReplyDeleteYou are literally batshit insane.
ReplyDeleteHe is not just insane! He's as crazy as a shithouse rat on a hot afternoon. MOT MOT
DeleteReally depends how far your looking back. I think I understand that yes many haven't gone on to be the world-beaters they thought they would be.
ReplyDeletePlayers like Gradel, Snodgrass, Beckford, Becchio, Howson, Delph and Johnson showed their signs of brilliance in league 1, so they have come a long way in their careers.
For me its quite surprising to see how far some of these players have developed especially when I remember Bradley Johnson struggling in league 1.
Delph hasn't developed as well as expected due to a near career ending injury that cost several months of rehabilitation. The players that left were very good championship players, so no wonder some struggle in the premiership.
ReplyDeleteLampard, defoe, ferdinand, ferdinand, terry. Etc. The difference is that losing top players at a pisspot club like w,ham is expected. That's the only way to survive due to an aversion to european football. Haven't you got anything to say on your amateur blog about the disgraceful scenes at wembley yesterday or are you too cowardly ,what with them being just over the river?
ReplyDeleteObsessed with Leeds.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sad little excuse for an Internet troll you are!
ReplyDeletecheck out his report on the saints game yesterday against westhamutdonceproudclub...he pretends to be at the game....he never once gives the impression he is sat on a sofa watching it on t.v...for someone that keeps the world and his wife informed of his whereabouts why not mention the fact that he is not actually at the game.
ReplyDelete23;935 for a local derby...yes could have been better....but at least the 23.935 were actually at the game not sat in their armchair pretending to be at the game.
ReplyDelete12.18 and 12.21,spot on and have you noticed that he actually rates the players too? Also count the number of comments from his fellow west ham fans. It's no wonder he gets up before the larks to blog about Leeds. His west ham blog is not so much a "cottage industry" more of an "under the bed next to the bedpan in a cottage industry". That would also explain why they're piss poor too.
