There's only three things that will keep Old Big Gob in the job after Leeds fans turned on him on Saturday. Either Leeds can't afford to replace him, or he wins the next three games, or he knows too much about this "take over".
His press conference after the Barnsley game was even more embarrassing than his team's performance. It really is pretty desperate when you take along a lap top to show the nation's press why an opposition player should have been sent off.
Fair enough if you are showing why a goal should not have been disallowed, or why you should have been awarded a penalty, or to prove that the ball had crossed the goal line, but to try to prove retrospectively that somebody should have been shown a red? Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel! And this is from the man who has insisted that the referee was wrong each time one of his own players was dismissed - not that the panel that reviews the decisions agreed with him!
As for his claim to be doing a "great job" - well somebody must either have superglued his tongue inside his cheek or his ego is so large he can't see around its arse. Leeds have now lost four straight away games on the bounce. Leeds have had the lowest number of shots of any team in the Championship. Leeds are a new breed of Yo Yo club, yo-yoing from eighth to eleventh and back again depending on whether the last game played was home or away. And Leeds are sitting firmly in mid table. Great job? Leeds are again lower in the table than they were when Warnock took over! By what definition is that great?
In fact, the only odd thing is that Warnock is still in a job. Managerless Barnsley beat them. Nottingham Forest are now above them. And if Blackburn win their game in hand, they will climb above them too. No progress has been made over the last 12 months and Warnock must surely be held accountable for that.
How long has he got? If Leeds lose the next two, my money is on him going. Unless he knows something Bates and GFH Capital don't want the fans to know!
Could not believe when he said he was doing a brilliant job. How the hell can his time at Elland rd be judged any other way but very mediocre.
ReplyDeleteGood points said here, turning into a good Leeds blog! Where the baiting?!!
ReplyDeleteBe surprised if he's still here tea time tomorrow, if he wont commit for next season then no point staying, has to retire tomorrow.
ReplyDelete"Unless he knows something Bates and GFH Capital don't want the fans to know! " Was only thinking the same thing today.
ReplyDeleteYou are a very sad individual.
ReplyDeleteWhen you're in your armchair watching the west ham highlights that you're about to comment on,do you wear one of those caps that holds a beer can on either side and straws? You twat.
ReplyDeleteman. even though you are a west spam bell end, i cannot argue with your latest blog. time to go neil. mot
ReplyDeleteThee u are. I love your blog even as I am a Leeds supporter. Im not write so good english because Im a foreigner. This "takeover", it most be something odd about it, why in earth it took so long time, was it because they have to find some way to go around the "law" if you understand what I mean. Mr.Bates suck and I am very very disappointed at Warnock and the new owners not at least. Warnock should go immediately. Right now Leeds are playing like a pack of sheeps running.
ReplyDeleteBaa-rilliant comment!
DeleteThis is sooo funny ! You really are a saddo ! Any fan that obsesses about another club should just get a life. Still, i suppose there's not much to shout about down there so you need to latch on to LUFC's mis-fortune. Why not concentrate on your own little team struggling in the PL (again) and sit around plotting more complete mayhem the next time to you play those other six-fingered inbreds from the cage ! Sorry, i meant the den.
ReplyDeleteI do hope so!
ReplyDeleteyou are right on this one mate. Im not one to get on the back of a manager after a couple of bad games and I dont believe the 'sack the manager' phillosophy is allways the answer in football, but as you so rightly said there has been no progress. Infact with the has beens he appointed all over the pitch, the bright young stars all out on loan, the brand of football we play id stick my neck out and say we have taken two steps back. I thought he was the man for the job but maybe not? Then again maybe he knows something we all dont know about these new owners? Either way surely now would be the time to get a new ambitious manager in good time to build for a
ReplyDeleteReal push next year.
Irishleeds rant over
most leeds fans will admit that we have been lucky to win most of the games we have this season.we could quite easily have been in the bottom 5 in the championship, the away form is the most truthful reflection on what we are as a team-very average.sooner or later the luck will run out at home.....unless 3-4 top quality signings are made, which i dont see happening.im starting to see warnock differently,as a man who is bitter about the past (shef utd,qpr sacking)and is happy to jockey on the leeds name.leeds have made no progress in the past 11 months and sooner or later supporter pressure will be too much and gfh will send him packing to never be seen again.
ReplyDeleteWarnock, your not fit to manage my sons Sunday league football team. 5,000 fans calling your head on Saturday should make you think twice about stepping back in to the dug out. As much as I would like to see him go I somewhat agree with bubbles about the fake takeover and Colin knowing too much. He was a pre condition for the takeover - that just makes no sense.
ReplyDeleteDo you write any other blogs? Blogs that do not concern Leeds United or their fans?
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone read them?
Yeah he does, but he only gets the same 5 people commenting. It's less of a blog more like a self help blog really. Most of the comments are actually his. He likes to argue the toss about games he hasn't been to and how he wants Mark Noble to bend some balls into his box.
DeleteHow does fuk off sound ???
ReplyDeleteForest fan- excellent article yet again
ReplyDeleteCorrect. Your insight us right for once
ReplyDeleteI live in New Zealand and its just as depressing watching/hearing Leeds play, I am coming home in march with my Aussie bird and I really don't think I'll put her through watching Leeds... The ladies team are better to watch, they play this revolutionary game called FOOTBALL! Not as soon as we get the ball just hoof it straight to the opposition ball! As for the owners, I don't think they have anywhere near the money Leeds fans hope they have, which is a shame cos after travelling around Australia and NZ there is still a hell of a lot of Leeds fans out there and we don't deserve this shit.. Even though HF loves it
ReplyDeleteFor once you are talking sense. The job is too big for Warnock, he is clueless. Go now Colin, and take those twits Brown, Tonge and Norris with you.
ReplyDeleteDear Author,
ReplyDeleteIf you think this is going to happen why not go down to your local Romanian Bookmaker and place a bet on Leeds having a new Manager in a Month. If you dont have the 'sack' to do this, then your comments are not worth a Tinker's Cuss.
Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't you the same person who was shouting about Leeds chances of Automatic promotion and good chances of a play off spot only two League Games back ??
Credibility factor zero Sir.
I had a bet when in England. Warnock to be gone by the end of the month. 12-1. Seemed generous to me.
DeleteAhh so now the point of the article becomes clear. Like you accused Norman Hunter of for flogging his medals, its 'greed not need'
DeleteChurning out days old stuff yet again and trying to disguise it as your observations, you have no credibility hf! NW will be gone soon enough. Looking at next months games, the way we're "playing" we'll be lucky to have gained another point.
ReplyDeleteI think you will find that The Yorkshire Evening Post is recycling MY slant on stories. Check the boards, who was first to post that Warnock had signaled that Becchio wants to leave. And what story is the YEP running today? And look at the YEP article on Warnock's position being under threat. Pretty similar to this, n'est pas?
DeleteIt must be galling for you, but many more Leeds fans are coming around to my point of view and understanding this blog for what it is - intelligent, perceptive and honest. Take off the blinkers and you will see that I make sense more often than not!
By the way, the Becchio article was the most read article on the News Now Leeds board. What does that tell you?
Poor you!
HF I don't read the turgid YEP,(or any other rag) I wait till the rumours and assumptions about players coming or going are actually confirmed on the official site. However a manager's position is more predictible as we all know the eventuality of constant below par performances. As for more and more LUFC fans agreeing with you, maybe they do, but in reality anyone could be anyone on here, you yourself have been accused of backing your own posts up in the past. Anyone can agree with you and end their post with a MOT or up the 'ammers, it don't mean to say they are genuine Leeds or West Ham fans!
Deletei agree hf.you have stopped being an arsehole lately.
DeleteYes it is the lack of progress that is worrying, some great results but no consistency...the sign of a team in the championship
ReplyDeleteArmchair hammer,i think YOU will find that mick jones had mooted the sale of both Becchio and Byram early last week,so you ARE INDEED recycling old news from your armchair.
ReplyDeleteI think you will find, 1044, that when I responded to the Jones article, Leeds fans called me a mug for misinterpreting what he said. Subsequently, you lot have had time to digest his remarks - my powers of comprehension seem that little bit quicker - and are now claiming I was behind the times with my article. Far from it, I triggered the responses of others on the boards.
ReplyDeleteBut what are blogs anyway? They react to / respond to news and express opinions. The club does not issue a press release to bloggers, we take what is reported and respond - so by definition, all bloggers are recycling. The key is, good bloggers don't just report, they interpret and give their slant / take on events. You hate my slant because it is right more often than it is wrong, and invariably it shows Leeds in a bad light. What did I tell you about this takeover?
Erm...that it wouldn't happen. I can't remember the exact quote but something along the lines of 'maybe tomorrow' or 'tomorrow never comes'...am I getting warm?
DeleteAnd have you been bought by an oil rich billionaire? Not looking like it to me!
DeleteI think another one of your pearls of wisdom was 'the league table doesn't lie after 3 games' or 'West Ham found it easy getting promoted via the play offs'.
DeleteHonestly mate, I could go on :)
What you told us about the takeover was what every Leeds fan was already saying on every blog. We were all sceptical hence TOMA. In actual fact when it was announced the club was in talks with an interested party and there was a certain amount of elation amongst Leeds fans, you could barely contain your jealousy. What was that blog title again? Revolting gloating by Leeds fans? Meaning you were taken in more than us. You really ought to do your homework as i'm making you look more stupid with each blog. No doubt you'll be typing like a whirlwind with your futile comeback and either the usual spelling/grammar corrections or puerile insults. I will tell you when to jump and how high.ok? Meanwhile get with the programme.
ReplyDeleteWest Ham were impressive at the weekend, they wont go down, there is far too much shit in the prem right now. as a Leeds fan I am frustrated with hoof ball as we play it, we could have Messi and it would make no difference, we need crouchy maybe
ReplyDeletewe do not like your attention seeking slant/take on our events because they are our events and nothing to do with a book burner like you...p.s i dont think you went to watch west ham on saturday, did you? and yet you didn,t sell all your tickets,so why the no show?.p.s again,i dont expect a response, yet again, but you may surprise me and respond to news and express opinions.
ReplyDeleteit,s just i,m a bit concerned for you, what with you being such a big west ham fan, there must be a really big reason for the no show..are you ok?
ReplyDeletewere you sick, death in the family? it can not be money reasons because you give off the impression that you have money,to be honest i am a bit worried, what with you being such a big fan of your club, thats west ham and not the other team you seem totally engrossed with, thats leeds...do you see what i did then?
ReplyDeletei dont expect your slant on my blog.
ReplyDeleteN.F.10;31,it tells me you spend to much time by yourself and need to get out a bit more in the fresh air for walks or take up salsa, try a cooking class i have heard they are popular at the moment....may i say you seem to put a lot of focus on your viewing figures, now even you have to admit that is self indulgent and very conceited..
ReplyDeleteyour silence speaks volumes.
ReplyDeleteMissing me after just 24 hours? You have got it bad!
DeleteA quick question Hammersfan. After investing your 50p, will you fly all the way back to London to collect your 6 quid if Warnock is out by Months end?
