McDermott pulls another rabbit out of the Leeds United hat!

Credit where credit is due, Friar Brian keeps pulling rabbits out of the hat, with the latest being Danny Pugh.

The former Manchester United starlet's career seemed to be going nowhere under Old Big Gob and with McDermott ignoring him until all the other options had been exhausted, it looked as if he was booked on the first train out of the club, rather than on the Leeds United McFeelgood Factor Sleeper Express to the Premiership, Europe, Infinity and Beyond. But given an opportunity, he grabbed it with both hands and now has seemingly secured himself a place in the team.

His emergence is, of course, a huge bonus for McDermott and the former Reading maestro must even now be searching through the dusty cupboard at the back of the training ground entitled "Warnock's Rejects".

Who knows with this Pugh raising eyebrows, McDermott may stumble upon his twin brother, along with a host of other forgotten talent going by the name of Barney, McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grubb. You can picture McDermott now, barking the orders to his boys, "Right men, action stations! No, no, not the hose!"

And Flack me, Leeds United may actually be in with a chance of promotion!  Steadily, sensibly; never too quickly, never too slowly, edging their way to the Premiership!

    1. I agree. Pugh will never be able to prevent a god wide player from getting in a centre (eg Adomah on Satuday) while his first instinct when he ventures forward is to stop and either pass back or sideways. That he gets the occasional centre in does not compensate for these shortcomings. Aidy White sometimes plays too loosely, but he never looks lethargic, and on Saturday, when they were down to 10 men, he could have had a field day.

  7. Oh god, how shite is this bollocks, so when numerous Leeds fans said we don't expect a quick fix and are happy to take the steady away approach, you spouted on about you should throw money at it and go for it because there is nothing to lose because ffp fines doesn't kick in for afew years! Well look how your view on how to do things look stupid now! We don't want to b in massive debt again, anyway, what will your finances look like if you go down? New stadium, Big contracts for the likes of Carol and co to pay for, u won't get money back on that old donkey, glue factory it is, cash in now whilst u can, besides, u don't need him because u play a fantastic way with the false 9! Ha ha ha

torres celebrates another week of not scoring in the league..........but to be honest it did not matter against a team that only had one shot on goal in the 93rd minute.......in a half empty stadium with 15 minutes to go.....but at least they got off their seat unlike you and your best mate Mr Remotey.

  13. This insistence on writing a load of obsessive shite about a team that he doesn't support explains in part at least why the author of this so called blog Scott Tracey only has 4 friends on his facebook page.

how is that 70 million pound loan from next years budget looking like at the moment..........new laws hopefully coming in soon to stop excess charges on pay day loans,so you should be ok.........sleep easy....have fun and stop being so serious and angry at the world........you should have had kids when you had the chance......it is not the worlds fault you are so bent out of shape.....life is to short to carry all that bitterness around with you......especially with those feet of clay you drag along with you.

By the way, It's now about as amusing as a turd in a swimming pool. Can't you come up with any new material?

  20. The "sleeper express" is picking up pace whilst your wind up blog is grinding slowly to a halt - this article is terrible. Short , boring and blatantly struggling for ideas...

Just admit your a closet Leeds fan and have done....

  21. Only 28 comments (inc this) after three days!? looks as if your blog (like west ham's premiership stint) is dying hf. You have no material unless things are going wrong at LUFC, so Exit Stage Left and turn off the Super Troupers, the show is over.
