Mark Hughes to Stoke? Ask Warnock for a reference!

Mark Hughes? Really? After his disastrous stint at QPR stepping into the shoes of 'hoof the ball hard and hit the opposition harder' merchant Warnock, the poor club's Pulis?

Old Big Gob would be delighted to give Stoke a reference and it would read something like this: "I left behind a decent bunch of lads and the makings of a good team. Then along came that twat and destroyed everything."

So why exactly would Stoke want to appoint him? I know Coates is looking for a new direction, but that direction doesn't necessarily have to point down to the Championship!

Hughes well and truly queered his pitch at QPR and some dreadful stories have emerged about his inept man management "skills". His only answer at QPR was to wave the cheque book and where did that get him exactly? QPR finished rock bottom for a reason, and that reason included Hughes.

I would love to see Stoke appoint him as that would be one of the three relegation spots booked. Add in Hull and one of Watford or Palace and the rest of the division could relax!

  1. Don't mean to be the inspiration behind your articles but wouldn't one regarding Leeds alleged pursuit of Noel Hunt and fact he was voted in the worst 11 of the premiership (along with your James Collins) be worth a punt? No disrespect to Stoke but they don't have the fan base or the passion to entertain you (guarantee you dont get 1 genuine comment) and that article on Matt Mills was completely pointless as no Leeds fan in their right mind would want us to buy him. Only saying....

  2. No relevance to us at all? And just for the record, "old big gob" was the name of a great manager and a footballing legend, Mr Brian Clough who could write more on the back of a stamp about football than you know you clown.

  10. Stoke want Sparky?? They must be completely crazy. I know Pulis was no great shakes, but he was pragmatic, and kept a very ordinary team in the Prem for season after season. Hughes took over a pretty poor QPR side, albeit with a lot of fight and spirit, and completely destroyed them. Got rid of decent enough players (3 to Cardiff who are now taking Rangers place in the top flight), brought in over-priced has-beens who clearly didn't give a shit about anything except their wage packet. Ruined any remaining team spirit, and left them facing certain relegation. Why would any team want to employ him? I just don't get it. Stoke nailed on for relegation.
