I started complaining about the Lend Lease policy employed by the Pozzos very early in the season, and I received threats of legal action as a result. It took the likes of Holloway and the powers-that-be at the Football League a little longer to catch up - and Leeds Legend Peter the Poodle Lorimer didn't appreciate what was going on until the final game of the season - but it now seems that the rules are to be changed, and the "loophole" that everybody associated with Watford claims isn't a loophole, is about to be closed. Suddenly Watford will have to play players that they own, rather than players owned by the Pozzos!
Watford fans will of course squeal. But as a West Ham fan, I struggle to understand why we were fined six million quid for the Tevez deal sanctioned by Mr Scott Duxbury, whilst Watford have been allowed to populate a squad with players they do not own and over whom, the Pozzos could conceivably exercise a Third Party influence.
Of course, I have to stress that Watford have not broken any rules and have not cheated - yet. However, following next week's vote, that will no longer be the case if the rules are changed and Watford continue with the same policy. And meanwhile, Watford's options will be further restricted by a transfer embargo that applies until the end of August because of rule breaking by the former owners.
Poor GianFredo has been painted into something of a corner here and the Watford fans may just discover that the Pozzos may not be the best thing since sliced pane after all!
All together now at the Football League, "Gangnam Style"!
haven't you already made 50 blogs about this? old news, no one is bothered anymore.
ReplyDeleteJom reckons Forest will do exactly the same with Fawaz buying a big chunk of PSG (Jom has also chucked a few quid into the pot following the successful sale of his "dust" range)
ReplyDeleteUr gutted cuz ur from London n u support a tinpot who as to make films for people to recognize u altogether now we wan the world cap haha c ya next year ya gobby twat
ReplyDeleteContinued Moral high ground from a West Ham fan. How amusing.
ReplyDeleteRemind me how much public money is being used for the Olympic Stadium original build and subsequent re-fit?
Shed loads mate. Shed loads. And it's coming out of your taxes. And the taxes of Leeds fans. If any of them work!
DeleteYou really are a fantasist , "threatened with legal action" come on then Neville who threatened you with legal action ??! You had a sum total of 5 replies on the subject and 3 of them were Leeds fans who hate you , so name names princess , who was it ?? Zola? Kevin Phillips? Or maybe your hero elton? Didn't happen did it Neville , be quiet you prick
DeleteBlowing your own trumpet again nob head..
DeleteHa ha ha you just love to try get people biting don't you, everybody likes abit of banter but for you it means so much more, do you puff your chest out like a pigeon when you get a reaction?
DeleteSomeone who spends his life writing this inane blog talking about work! You really are thick as a plank my friend, you probably havent worked a day in your life, your father should have given you a smack round the lug to sort that attitude problem out
DeleteWest Spam at the Olympic stadium. Gold, Karen, and Big Alladici, just one big happy clappy family eh? Except the seats will be a mile from the pitch! ahahahaha
DeletePozzos own all our players - they own watford!
ReplyDeleteThe easy solution is that Watford sign all their loan players for FREE. Ha ha.....
ReplyDeleteI bet you wish your club could sign someone like Vydra for nothing instead of having to pay £15m to sign your loan player.
Watford will go up as Champions next season and you can bleat about all the cheating you like.
Closing the loophole actually makes us stronger because no one will be a loan player anymore, they will all be Watford owned players.
Thanks to people like you and Holloway it would never have happened. Cheers mate. :)
Fat chance, Bolton will win the division next season.
DeleteSurely you can't be that stupid?? You have been told hundreds of times that Watford will sign the majority of the loanees on permanent deals in the summer. Unfortunately, this will bring an end to your boring boring repetitive posts!!
ReplyDeleteHf trouble is u gonna need us Leeds fans to fill it for ya haha we will bring some bricks for ya new screen
ReplyDeleteYou are poorly informed. The international loan rule is a FIFA rule and the FL cant change it. Oh dear...............
ReplyDeleteHow can the Pozzo's be a third party when they own the club?
ReplyDeleteWe only needed to use the excessive amount of loans for the first season so the changing of the rules wont matter. We will sign the majority of the loan player (the good ones) and if the loans are limited to 5 next season thats still a sufficient amount to continue this try before you buy ethic. The Pozzos will always find a way to make it Pozzoble. On the other hand West Ham just forked out £15m for a donkey. Talk about going backwards
ReplyDeleteHav'nt really got a clue what you lot are ranting about. You should worry! You don't employ a French player with GOUT in his left foot and cud not hit a barn door with bulldozer to put his team into the play-off final
ReplyDeleteDon't know what you are all moaning about! You don't support a team with a Frenchman, with GOUT in his left foot and cudn't hit a barn door with bulldozer to get his team into the play-off final.Shouldn't complain really cos we only lost £120,000,000.
ReplyDeleteCan you please keep up Hammersfan. Watford will be signing all the players they want to keep and return all those they no longer need. How much will Watford have to pay for these players.......£0.00. That should give you something to complain about next season when we only have the Football League designated number of regulation players on loan.
ReplyDeleteCan I start your new blog Hammersfan "it is just so unfair Watford can sign who they want....... blah blah blah, whinge moan bitch".
Lets face it, you know full well Watford will be a bigger and better club than West Ham within 2 years and you will have to suck it up. COYH
"Suddenly Watford will have to play players that they own, rather than players owned by the Pozzos"
ReplyDeleteErm but all our players are owned by them. People like John Eustace, Mark Yeates, Troy Deeney and Tommy Hoban. They do own Watford FC after all. And as for them exercising third party (ie. outside) influence on the club. How can they? They own it. They aren't a third party because they own the club. Is it really that difficult to understand?
Most leeds fans work cockney boy.fearing that,we could all jump ship, and move to a eastern block country, and say romania.we could all go for a drink with u.ur round of course, cos finances are a bit tight at the minute.
ReplyDeleteGet as many team names in the titles as you can for news now !!! But make sure you put Leeds in because without them you simply don't have a blog , and who has threatened you with legal action ?? Do you honestly believe the 2 watford fans who make comments give a shit what you have to say let alone run to a brief ??" what planet are you on nev
ReplyDeleteIt won't make any difference, the loan signings we want to keep will become permanent and if Zola needs more cover they can send us 5 loans which will be plenty.
ReplyDeleteHave a bet on Watford winning the league next season and Vydra staying at the club.
Im really looking forward to next season!

ReplyDeleteWhen does the window close? End of August. When does the transfer embargo run to? End of August. Can Watford convert loans into permanent deals before the end of August? Not if the embargo applies. Can they play all these players if they are still loanees after the rule change next week? No. So, that sounds like a Catch 22 to me. Or a Catch 12 - 10 from Udinese and 2 from Granada. Maybe you can convert the deals in January, but by then Watford could be heading for the third tier of English football!
ReplyDeletetransfer window shuts on 2nd of Sept this year as the 31st is a Saturday. also, I think the ban allows them to sign players on a case by case basis a la Pompy.
DeleteThe embargo is not a true embargo, as long as the Football League rubber stamp the deal a transfer can and will happen.
DeleteAs long as the deal is legal with no financial shenanigans the FL have no option but to rubber stamp the deal.
I'd be surprised if that happens. IIRC the only time a transfer window was extended was because of a Bank Holiday.
DeleteSo Saturday 31st August is when Jim White will get a boner on Sky Sports News and Harry Redknapp will get interviewed through his car window.
Do you not read anything except the usual rubbish spouted by your other West Ham fan, Martin Samuels. Now please keep up and I will say it slowly as I realise that the education standards are very low in east London (which is why your Chairman was educated in Watford). The transfer embargo affecting Watford allows us to sign players with the permission of the Football League. What possible reason would they stop Watford signing players who want to play for the club when we can show that we have finance in place to pay the players and the club is on a steady financial footing. In any event the embargo ends on 31st August but the transfer window will be extended to 2nd September. We could sign all the players after 31st August but before 2nd September. Even if the transfer embargo stopped us signing players until January and the Football League limited us to 5 international loans we could still have Abdi, Vydra, Ekstraand, Pudil and Anya in the team until the situation is sorted out. We also have the likes of Deeney, Doyley, Hoban, Hogg, Eustace, Yeates, Murray, Bond etc at the club so your comment about us heading towards League 1 is pretty stupid as this is the core that has maintained us in the Championship for the past few seasons before the Pozzo takeover. West Ham could only dream of having so much quality instead of the boring hoof ball played to some overpaid lump up front.
DeleteHowever as someone else has already told you a limit of 5 international loans would of course infringe FIFA rules and the ultimate sanction for FIFA would be to expel England from world football until it complies with FIFA rules. Now that would give you something to blog about and I can see your headline "Watford gets England expelled from World Cup stopping West Ham winning it again". You better start on that one now!
No wonder Zola, Nani etc wanted to screw your club over when they have fans as thick as you. I never thought a Hammersfan would hate Watford more than Millwall......"no one likes us, we don't care". COYH.
The embargo is case by case, Watford will already know which loanees are staying and which are going back.
DeleteThe football league has been very helpful to the new owners already, acknowledging that all the blame on our dodgy dealings can be placed at the feet of our former owner Laurence Bassini.
Obviously we cannot play 12 loanees if the rules change but I can guarantee that the players that are good enough will be signed.
Udinese are already talking about the new players coming on loan, as said before the rule change won't matter, its just going to be made so the football league don't have to put up with whingers like Ian Holloway and Paul Ince (and yourself).
In east London 22% of adults able to work are unemployed and reliant on state benefits. In West Yorkshire the figure in 19.2% and even lower 17.6% in the city of Leeds. In a recent nationwide poll the city of Leeds came fourth in the most desirable cities to leave, east London came 19th. Immigration and crime have both risen in east london since 2009, Leeds is one of only three cities nationwide where both figures have dropped.
ReplyDeleteI quote you, "In a recent nationwide poll the city of Leeds came fourth in the most desirable cities to leave". Let's hope Byram wasn't part of the sample! Snodgrass, Becchio and Howsen probably were!
DeleteHOWSON. NOT HOWSEN
DeleteName names, which nationwide poll ??! lets all go on line and look at this poll , provide a link or shut up princess
DeleteAnd with regard to the legal threat, it came from a firm of solicitors stating that they were acting on instruction from Watford FC. It would be very reckless of an employee to use that firm's official email to make a false claim.
ReplyDeletewot a dreamer you are..........
DeleteAre you honestly telling these people that watford fc would take time out to read this nonsense let alone sue you for writing it ?
DeleteYou're totally in la la land Mr
We're they called "Bicker, Back and Forth"?
DeleteI think you've been had mate, was it signed Warick Hunt, Senior Practitioner?
Not really a 'legal threat' if I came from a firm of solicitors though is it? I know, I'll pay a solicitor loads of money to send a threatening e-mail to the address on a website (got through the spam then?)
DeleteWHy do you hate Watford so much? Just wondering?
ReplyDeleteI don't. I like Watford. But I don't agree with the Lend Lease policy. And I am unhappy about what Mr Duxbury did at West Ham.
DeleteIf you like Watford, I'd hate to see what you write about clubs you dislike.
DeleteI like Mr Duxbury more and more. He's doing a fantastic job at Watford, and if he upset you that's an added bonus.
For once I agree (about Watford anyway). It was probably the most satisfaction gained from a poor season when we beat the Italian reserves on the last day to screw their automatic promotion hopes. It was fun laughing at the sad faces as they trooped out of that sh!thole of a ground on that sunny day.
ReplyDeleteRegarding Wet Spams move to the white elephant stadium however...good luck with that. A half-full arena, sat several hundred yards from the pitch is not my idea of atmosphere. For me, that was the one thing that Upton Park (or whatever TF you call the place) had going for it.
Hand on heart I recon the Spammers will regret this move, so take the p!ss all you like matey, you are welcome to my few quid in tax in order to assist the deluded management of your club to make a feckin massive mistake.
Worry about your own team mate. We did beat you 6-1 at your shithole.
DeleteSo if you were pleased Watford were not promoted you must be ecstatic that Hull are the biggest team in your area. Do you support Leeds?
It was almost as funny seeing your sad faces when we inflicted a massive 6-1 defeat on you in your own back yard.
DeleteHow the mighty Leeds have fallen. Will you be scraping to avoid relegation again next season? League One is about your level now, so the trap door beckons. Enjoy your fight for survival and we'll enjoy another easy 3 points at Elland Road.
Watford are and always will be a third rate club no matter who they sign or loan
ReplyDeletethat's spent most of the time in the top 30 clubs in the Engish league system! So second rate at a push. I wonder what 1st rate team you support (possibly in the 5th tier of the same system).
DeleteThat's very interesting. I have a mate who works at Watford FC. He should be able to get your name and address
ReplyDeletehaha, not posting my comment I see, I must have touched a nerve.
ReplyDeleteThe Football League can make noises about any limit they want on the number of foreign loans, but they can't limit the number of loans a club brings in as that breaks all kinds of UEFA, FIFA and even EU rules.
ReplyDeleteAll they can do is include the foreign loans in the limit of 5 in a matchday squad as that rule is one that is within the FL's right to change.
So Watford could still bring in 12 loanees from Udinese and Granada but as long as only 5 are in the match squad of 18 at a time they aren't going to break any laws. But they won't as we will sign a few of the ones that were on loan and also buy in a couple of players that aren't already on the Pozzos books.
Beats following a Jew hating racist club that resides in the crime-ridden scum hole that is the east end of London.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy.
Mwah x
you have a vicious personality
ReplyDeleteMy god, have you still not got over the Tevez affair......you bloody won out of it!!
ReplyDeleteStop whinging
You are absolutely mental!
ReplyDeleteWho has this much time to write about slagging Leeds off...?! Its literally everyday.
You must be SUCH a virgin.
Well he is always virgin on the ridiculous!
DeleteWatford didn't break rules but you did, Phillips never robbed anyone, it was a penalty fair and square, he bagged it with great technique fair and square, calling someone a poodle when they are not is discrimination, you should be locked up for that.
ReplyDeleteYou are a sad twat, oh I can call it you because as a fact you are one.
HOWSON. NOT Howsen
ReplyDeleteYou only beat us 6 1 cos we had 9 men for most part of the game thick twat.ur sellout crowds, are our lowest crowds.and thats with our rediculous over the top ticket prices.watch us go next year watford,it will be fun to see u cry again.
ReplyDeletewho cares really? youre just like those tinpot forest fans goin on about beating us 7-3 al the time.they forget we hammered them at their place.but it doesnt matter because we are all in the same division arent we?
DeleteYou call this guy a "thick twat", yet you cannot spell ridiculous......doh.
DeleteLeeds should be used to playing with 9 men anyway because they are just a team of thugs, nothing more.
Relegation struggle for you next year, and 6 easy points for Watford, as long as your thugs don't cripple our keeper again.
haha still bitter about a little nudge in the back? its not our fault watford couldnt hold their nerve.see you next season!
DeleteIt's a bit childish blaming Leeds for not getting promoted, mate. After all it was one game, you were playing at home so can't really have any excuse. You should have beaten us easily as you say.
Deleteshown your true colours lately.massive loser
ReplyDeleteSenile old man...seems the net is closing fast...hope they put you in Armley.
ReplyDeleteOut of curiosity I looked up the plans for the Olympic Stadium on the Mail on Line.
ReplyDeleteCheck them out, you'll all wet yourselves laughing. The last laugh is definitely not going to HF!
Ridiculous....happy watford fan....tin pot club.
