Will McDermott resign his position as manager of Leeds?

Leeds fans must be wondering when the club will next win a game. True, a share of the points with Ipswich is not a disastrous result but all the pre Christmas optimism has now evaporated and it looks like being an unremarkable season of mid table obscurity. Automatic promotion is now an impossible dream, and with the play off pack 8 points ahead, hopes of squeaking into the Premiership via the back door are fading fast too. Even Warnock's team offered a more sustained challenge than this!

Mind you, Warnock's team was on show against Ipswich as McDermott reverted to Old Big Gob's yard dogs once again in his increasingly desperate search for a winning formula - and it still needed a penalty to avoid a home defeat!

So where does the Bald Controller go from here exactly? If he has any sense, he will head for the exit door before he is pushed through it. The promised takeover looks dead in the water, and the Feel Good Factor Sleeper Express to the Premiership, Europe, Infinity and Beyond has been renamed the Fiasco Express. All aboard for a round trip to nowhere! Except maybe administration!

Or worse still, Cellino could take charge. And then McDermott would know his number was up for sure! But at least he would receive a payoff when sacked I suppose!

It is an undignified mess once again and Leeds fans must be close to despair.

  1. Could be worse, could be heading down a league, skint and with only a dozen fans, ring any bells gayboy?

  3. close to despairs an understatement spammer. we could be in a bigger mess now than ever. no one could blame brian mac walking. how can you take a club forward under these conditions. his hands are well and truly tied, like the saying goes, you cant make a silk purse out of a pigs ear. the man needs time and financial backing, given this he would get it right. at the moment he can only work with what hes got, and to be fair thats not much. SORT THIS MESS OUT NOW.

    1. Your guess would at least be as good as mine. You will be in the division next season, unless administration leads to a deduction of 12 points. A lot will hinge on what happens tomorrow. Will the Board take £3m for McCormack? If they do, you are in deep shit; if they don't, things can't be as bad financially as the doom and gloom boys seem to be suggesting.

It would be one hell of a story if you did go into administration and would vindicate everything I have said about GFH Capital from the off (for which I have received loads of abuse) but I genuinely hope it does not happen. I don't want to see a club like Leeds down on its knees with an Arab bank bringing a sword down on the back of its neck!

    3. you only receive abuse due to the fact that you are a self important twat. if you got a life instead of droning on about a club you don't even support? then im sure you wouldn't get abuse. Heres an example how it works. I don't waste my time putting pointless blogs on the net about other peoples football clubs. I don't ridicule their manager, players or fans (even ones with learning disabilities) and guess what? because I don't do that, I don't get abuse! amazing isn't it?

  7. The only thing Bates got right was identifying most take over merchants as chancers. Now that was something he did know a bit about. Another lost season and given our traditional soppy finish - just hope that we are not drawn into the scrap at the bottom.

  8. Stop trying to tout for McDermott to come and save West Ham before Fat boy relegates you

  9. He needs to wait for the sack to be honest, why walk away with no compensation. Cannot believe we could face going into administration again, which in my view is most likely if the consortium demand their money back. The owners are already in debt big-time, and will just walk away.

I would like to know what was the reason Sport capital reduced their offer, must be a lot of debt already in the club, I hope I am wrong.

  11. MOVE ON, MOVE ON! THERE'S NOTHING ORIGINAL OR WORTHWHILE READING HERE! It's just re-worded stuff from We All Love Leeds & Leeds United (Unofficial) web sites, laced with hf's desperation for the worst possible scenario to come true.
