Here comes Kebe - exciting times for Leeds!

So Stewart has already joined until the end of the season, and now Jimmy Kebe is being added to the ranks, on a loan now, maybe buy later deal.

No issue with the signing, Kebe is a quality Championship player and has something about him. Just ask Jack Collison who reacted to Kebe pretending to pull up his socks in mid dribble by trying to kick the then Reading man into row Z. In return, Collison was shown a red, West Ham were reduced to nine, and Reading went on to win 3-0.

However, the deal does seem odd in one respect, namely the commitment to buy IF Leeds get promoted. Surely that is arse about face? Kebe is not Premiership quality, as Crystal Palace have discovered, so why on earth buy him on your way up and not if you stay down?

That needs a rethink I would suggest!

However, these are positive times for Leeds. Chuck in a half decent forward and the Leeds United McFeelgood Factor Sleeper Express to the Premiership, Europe, Infinity and Beyond could pick up a new head of steam!

  5. jerome thomas isnt premiership quality but they would rather have him than kebe, sometimes things just dont work out.i agree tho very good signing in this league

  6. We could sell him to the Hammers if they go up as they'll be a championship side next season ;-)

  7. Stewart has signed a 3 and a half year deal, but has to go back to hull in april, then rejoin leeds next season....did u miss that one cockney boy....i agree with u on kebe though.not good enough for prem, but will do a decent job in championship..we need a playmaker and a striker now.positive signs at last from the leeds board.

  8. Personally i think we will be plying our trade in the championship next season (a bit like your monkey blowing west spam) ready to make a proper assault next season. With a bit of luck your team will go into administration and be docked 10 points and we shall begin to see the rise of a proper "giant of a football team". MOT

  9. That's actually valid, but I'm still puzzled why you waste so much your time talking about Leeds??????? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Most of the west ham team are not prem quality!!!

    1. Agreed, but neither is Kebe who, like many fast players, has a tendency to leave the ball behind. Still he will excite the crowd. Smart move, Brian. We're not going to be promoted this season anyway, nor next. 2015-16 is our season. By then Dawson and Mowatt will be running midfield.

  11. I agree he is a god Championship player. Maybe West Ham might be interested in him next season :-)

  12. What is even stranger is Fat Sam's decision to sign a League One player (Roger Johnson) on loan for his Cockney Wanderers! We all know they're going to be relegated, but surely not even Fat Sam can take them down two divisions in one season?! Maybe he's just planning for the future.

  13. Well for once its not a bad story about Leeds BUT

I have been looking through ALL your stories and they make me laugh!!!!!! one story is "Leeds stumble at Forrest" Hmmmmmm well if we stumbled at forest what the fuck did you do? lol...... Also you mention Leeds getting knocked out by Rochdale no news about your beating from Forrest.... nothing about your pasting from Man City and nothing about your "CAPTAIN" been a complete prick and getting sent off when needed most!!!! but not to worry Alchy Carol will be back soon :)

    HYPOCRITLMATRON 5000 !!!!!

A usual i will look forward to you not posting my comments because you dont like been made to look a knob but you do a good job of that yourself.

  14. ARE YOU THINK OFF SUPPORTING US NOW, TOSSER, NICE TO SEE THE SPAMMERS DOING WELL, THINK YOU COULD DO WITH SIGNING SOME ONE LIKE 2 BALL BOYS TO PICK THE BALL OUT OF THE NET FOR YOUR KEEPER

  15. Agreed HF. Great signing for us where we are now but the fact he can't get a game for Palace suggests if we made it to the Prem he wouldn't cut it. I get the impression our owners aren't cash strapped but reluctant to spend huge amounts on transfers/wages where we are now. Given what's gone before I can't say I'm too against that sustainable approach. If we can spend a bit though now, pick up the likes of Kebe etc on loans or short term deals which will push us over the line then I wouldn't be surprised if the cheque book opened to keep us up in the PL.

  16. 6 nil....oh and stewart has signed a 3 year contract!!!!!

  17. The thing about Kebe, IMO, is that he's still a pacy, pass and mover, not a hoofer and chaser. Palace are going to try to hoof their way out of trouble, as is the Pullis way, Kebe wouldn't fit that mould.

I liked him at Reading, and he certainly fits more with the way Ian Holloway plays. Given Brian McDermott knows him, and he wants us to have more control of the ball, he should give us that, which could take the pressure off Austin and others in the centre of the pitch, having to win the ball (back).

Now which CF are we going to get?

  18. As much as ur a clown most of the time spam dangler, I agree about Kebe, gud player but I would buy now, seems arse about face ur right, IF we want up we would be buying him to sit on the bench because we would need better in the Prem starting line up! Another quick word- Was there any need about ur effort at winding us up about not getting anybody in the other day? That's two in already before the next game!

  19. How can,you judge kebe not been premiership quality after only playing in 6 games .. Plus stewert has signed a 3 year deal after loan spell....

  20. yeah yeah, yawn yawn.

  21. do you think the long haired, over paid Geordie tart will be happy playing championship football next year? Major boo boo buying him!!!!! haha. I can hear bubbles busting all over the place. Worry about that rather than our dealings.Who you gonna try to provoke next year? beware, the teams you have chosen are now all in a much better place than wet spam!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Most of the Wet Spam squad are not of premiership or even championship quality if recent hard evidence is anything to go by - your blog and lowlife existance need a rethink I would suggest.

    ReplyDelete
  23. It's an "option" not a "commitment" we are not obliged to buy him.

  24. If being the operative word; I guess if the train gets in early we'll have to deal with the problem but thanks for your concern. We're not the only club in need of some quality championship players and you may well be one of them next season;

  25. If the train gets in early we' ll need to deal with the problem but thanks for your concern. Gold et.al may be looking for some quality championship players themselves within a few months

  26. You'll see complex/strange deals this window because of the financial fair play rules. If a club goes into deficit by more than £8m and get promoted, they get fined £1 for every £1 they spent over the cap. Which is why QPR's behaviour is difficult to fathom. If they don't get promoted they get a transfer embargo until they can prove how they are going to cap spending.

Which is why a lot of acquisitions in the Championship are going to be on an artificial loan to buy basis. The chairman (Salman Noohruddin, may have the spelling wrong there) described it in an interview earlier this year.

  27. Is Roger Johnson a prem player? I think West Ham just signed him from a "Division three" club. Looks like the fat controller is getting your beloved club ready for the drop down to that league. Enjoy the ride!

  28. Blocked my post again. No swear words or abuse, just valid points that you don't have the brain cells to counter. You have proven yourself intellectually inferior. I win.

  29. So .... West Ham sit next to bottom of the table, in the shit big style and with All their dildo money sitting on the treatment table with a big number 9 on its back (and a few cobwebs).
You then have the cheek to pass judgement on our latest signing when you have just scraped the bottom of the barrel and signed Roger Johnson, a third tier player on loan from Wolves.
It looks like Il Grande Sam Allardicci's Feelcrap Express to the Championship, League 1, League 2, Southern Counties League, Barking & District Sunday, Infinity and Beyond is on track. Still looking forward to waving to you at the crossover station in May hahahahahah

  30. granted neither Kebe or Stewart are Roger Johnson.......thank the lord for small mercies

  33. So why buy Carrol, lets face it, he has failed at every club so far, and West Spam paid so much for him to keep their health centre warm. Perhaps West Ham are moving into the medical business from Football and porn, There's no denying you bought a patient rather than a footballer.
By the way, shouldn't you be here now claiming benefits with the rest of your gypsy scrounging thieving family?
