Somma Hope For Leeds

Good to see that Davide Somma is closing in on fitness. I'm sure I don't need to say that I am not a Leeds fan, but that doesn't mean I can't feel empathy for a talented footballer whose career has been blighted by injury - unless his name is Keiron Dyer of course!

I haven't seen a lot of Somma, but on the few occasions that I saw him play on the box, he always impressed me. And I was impressed too by Leeds United's decision to let him train on, giving him the hope of a return if he could prove his fitness.

Of course, it would be a huge kick in the teeth for the guy if Friar Brian were now to turn around and tell him to do one, but given the club's desperate need for inspiration, surely Somma will be given a chance to prove himself. And there may just be a fairy story in the making!

So, here's hoping Davide gets a ticket to ride on the Leeds United Feel Good Factor Sleeper Express to the Premiership, Europe, Infinity and Beyond, even if, as seems likely, he is on a pay as you play deal.

    oh contrary mon a me.......i feel you do need to say that you are not a Leeds fan because you seem so concerned and interested in are great team that a lot of people are baffled as to why else would you read every bit of information regarding The Champions of Europe.

    He was slow to start with so due to the nature of his injuries his Sprint will now be no better than walking pace. good player, decent lad, won't solve our goalscoring problems tho.

    Just shows how desperate we are to give him another chance, blighted by injury doing his usual autumn come back, like last year and then will be out again he is dead wood yes a talent when fit but sadly think strings need cutting and get hunt out of door with him potential for a striker that is fit to come in and get wages, seen as hunt is one of highest earners at er, otheriwse why would he comefrom pl.

    Just read the Soothsayer's ramblings on NN, he's now claiming that "if England had not lost to Poland 40 yrs ago" then Don Revie would have carried on at Leeds!.... the man is truly stuck in his childhood! Let's face it, 40yrs ago if Norman Hunter (Leeds) had not lost the ball then Poland would not have scored! mmm (no mention of that though) nice one Robbie!
