GFH Open Transfer Warchest At Leeds

It's early days I know, but as an opening statement, the signing of Ryan Hall for £150,000 doesn't exactly set the pulses racing, does it? Old Big Gob has dampened down transfer talk but claimed he needed a new striker. Leeds fans will be praying that Hall isn't that forward.

The young winger come striker may be one for the future but the need is for players who can cut the mustard in the here and now. Bechio is on fire but what happens if he gets injured - or suspended? True the return from injury of Somma is like signing a new player, but if Leeds are to push on, some serious money probably needs to be invested.

A month ago there was an argument for prevarication: why waste money chasing an impossible dream? But Leeds are now positioned for a promotion charge. If GFH Capital have any sense of ambition, they should invest now and spend big. The next month will tell us if the dark cloak of Master Bates has been shed for ever, or if he has been replaced by equally tight fisted new owners. Better the Shaitan you know perhaps? Time will tell.

  4. To be honest Warnock is meant to be leaving this summer so we need to be cautious. Give him backing by all means but don't blow the budget screwing us over if we don't get promotion. A new manager will want money to spend.

  5. You need to spend more time reporting on your own club.
Find out why big Sam is about to become the new Blackburn manager ?
    Family reason's I guess ?

    1. Why would he return to a club that treated him disgracefully? And a club that has treated two subsequent managers disgracefully too?

  6. I never understood why a west ham fan spends all his time posting articles about Leeds...... Strange.

    1. A football fan. Do you only stroke your own whippet or do you sometimes fancy stroking somebody else's?

    2. So you like stroking strangers whippets, that's an interesting fact to know about you....
Also I enjoy the fact you slate Leeds fans for their grammar and then put in an apostrophe when clearly not needed....

    3. And which apostrophe is that? If trying to expose somebody else's weaknesses you should be sure of your facts.

  7. Just when are you going to f**k off and support your own team, rather than ours?

Why don't you make your new years resolution to actually rename this site 'in honour of the greatest football team the world has ever known - LEEDS UNITED'

You are the saddest person I have ever come across.....

... and I have known some sad people....

    Cet well soon

  8. There is a well known scientific hypothesis: Give a Chimpanzee a word processor and plenty of time - and occasionally amongst the meaningless drivel and nonsense, he will produce something that makes sense. I think the original Hypothosis says that eventually the Chimp will roll out the complete works of Shakespeare - I mean - he'd need LOTS of time, but it's possible right?

...I think we have just witnessed proof that this is indeed possible.

    1. We have! How long did you spend at the word processor before your keeper hit the publish button?

    2. What an utterly brilliant retort. I've been totally put in my place there I admit it.

"You calling me a Chimp? ...YOU'RE a chimp pal!!"

      Brilliant.

      Devastating.

  11. One word ... Defence ... thats the key to it all !

  12. With the takeover now confirmed. I expect Neil Warnock bring in fresh blood in the January trans-window. Leeds problem this season has been their defence, they concede far too many goals like confetti. If they want to get back in the Premier League, they must buy players who can defend. Hungry players make a successful team and not lazy ones. Leeds need players with quality as well as a squad with strength and depth. In my opinion, Warnock needs approximately 8 new faces to give Leeds a fighting chance of promotion.
